About DovI am a cis-woman with she/her pronouns.
I have been working as a therapist since 2000. These years have given me a lot of experience working with trauma survivors, particularly of domestic violence and sexual abuse. From 2000 - 2008, I was a therapist at Sound Health in their Deaf program. The last few of those years, I was managing the department (supervising staff and interns, managing the budget, ect). From 2008 - 2018, I was a therapist at Abused Deaf Women's Advocacy Services (providing individual, family, and group therapy to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault). Previous to being a therapist, I was a middle school teacher at NC School for the Deaf. I was born and raised in North Carolina. I moved to the northwest in 2000 and fell in love with the beauty, the people and ... dare I say it ... the rain! :-) I am able to communicate in American Sign Language and I am involved in the Deaf and DeafBlind community, both socially and through volunteer activities. Give me a call, text me or send me an email, so we can schedule a time to talk and see if I would be a good fit for your therapy needs. If you are able, texting is the quickest way to receive a response. |
